At this Fete we danced on boards, which were very hard and hadn't much spring.
The first session was really too early and hardly anyone watched. The second one was better as by then a crowd had gathered to watch the Irish dancing, but it had rained in the meantime so the boards were quite wet, but not so slippery.
Our dancing was not 100% - we can definitely do better.
